She sang at the Theatre de la Monnaie in Brussels from 1926-till the end of her careeer in 1938. She created the Marschallinn and Ariadne in Brussels as well as Turandot in French She died in 1938 at the age of 44 from food poisining after eating bad seafood in Nice. $200	323. BOONS, Claudine- SP of the superb Belgian soprano a concert and oratorio singer who did not make her opera debut until 1936 when she was 42 years old. She was a member of the Theatre de la Monnaie ensemble  for the rest of her short opera  career dying in 1945 at the age of 51. In addition she sang regularly at all the other Belgian theatres.Her repertory was vast for the shortness of her career included  Leonora in "Trovatore" & "Fidelio", Rachel, Contessa, Chrysothemis, Marschallin,Elisabeth Selika, Salome and many others inclduing, of course, La Tosca. She was very active on Belgian radio singing much contemporary music & left very beautiful recordings. Boons died at the age of 51 in 1945. Extremely scarce. $300
