card signed yours faithfully by the English tenor who excelled in the great spinto and dramatic tenor roles in England,
North America and the continent from 1871 till his early death. He created Massenet's Apollo's Invitation which he sang at

MINGHETTI, Angelo- SPc of the fine and very popular Italian lirico spinto tenor active from 1911 tile the end of the
30s. He sang Rodolfo, his signature role, in London, Chicago and South America as well as all the Italian theatres and
created both Donaudy's La Fiaminga and Resphigi's La Fiamma. He recorded 3 HMV sides
PASTA, Giuditta- A:S 1 page in Italian from the creator of Norma, one of the giants of 19th century opera. "Venezia

Rennaissance. He also created Weill's Die Burgschaft, sang Wagner in Bayreuth, Strauss at Salzburg and appeared at La Scala
etc. Great dramatic talent
SANCHIOLI, Giulia- ALS 4 pp in Italian from the soprano/mezzo who sang from 1845-1963 up and down Italy, England,
France, Germany and Spain where this letter was sent from- roles from Abigaile to Fides!! Nice letter "March 16, Dear
Augusta- I am so ashamed! I cover my face ...I asked Rabacci in vain, to let me have the old stamps that you desire so
much.....and in this day I finally decided to let you know about this and send you some contemporary stamps, if you want
more of the modern ones let me know....As for Valencia, I told you that they would give Passerini a contract again, and in
fact they did: also for next year. Now, for the season of Celebreties Borghi will be here to sing in La Favorita, Il
Barbieri, Saffo and Othello-and the impresario did not show much affection for me. He did not schedule me to sing the

SCHULZ, Else- SPc, probably Berlin Arabella, of the German soprano popular in Vienna and Zurich during the 30s-early
50s. She created Berthold Goldschmidt's Der Gewaltige Hahnrei in Mannheim 1932 and was especially noted for her Salome.

TAMBERLICK, Enrico- ALS 4 pp in French from the creator of La Forza del Destino and the first tenor to sing the High
C in Di Quella Pira! Hi career as one of the 19th century's greatest dramatic tenors started in 1837 and lasted 40 years
encompassing regular appearances in Russia, England, Italy, Spain, Paris, New York and Buenos Aires where he opened the
Old Teatro Colon in 1857 as Alfredo. He writes from Havana 26 Mars 1873 much about his conductor Faschini
TAPALES- ISANG- SPc of the Phillipine soprano who had a big European career, especially in France, during the 20s-40s
shown here as Madama Butterfly
TESCHEMACHER, Margarete- SPc of the German soprano as Grafin Almaviva. The creator of Strauss's Daphne left
outstanding of recordings of Italian opera auf Deutsch
TOUREL, Jennie- SP 8 x 10 de Bellis photo of the amazingly versatile mezzo soprano a great concert/recitalist but
also a virtuoso Rossini mezzo well ahead of the fashion

Berlin liederabend 9.3.1966 best wishes Fritz Wunderlich" opposite the page with a photo of him in Egk's Der Verlobung
in San Domingo his Munich creation, VERY ATTRACTIVE
ZANELLI, Renato- SPc of the Chilean tenor as Otello a role he excelled in during the 20s-30s and which can be heard on
