LAFEUILLADE, Jean Francois- original color lithograph by Engelmann of the famed Belgian tenor who was on stage during a performance of La Muette de Portici at La Monnaie in Brussels 1830 when the revolution started and hearing cries of "To arms To arms" he ran offstage in costume and joined "Les Revolutionairers"-this was the start of one of the greatest of early 19th century liberation movements. The theatres were closed for 15 months. This lithograph shows Lafeuillade in Le Roi de la Batelier. LOVELY SOUVENIR.
