1796. She became Napoleon's favorite singer and paramour after his first hearing her at a La Scala after the Battle of
Marengo and in 1800 she debuted in Paris where she remained, guesting elsewhere of course, till 1815 when Napoleon fell. She
returned to Italy and later taught among others Pasta and her nieces the Grisi girls! SCARCE
