LISZT, FRANZ- A spectacular and beautiful memento of Liszt and his pupils, consisting of an 8 by 9" sheet with a very
accomplished pencil drawing of the older Abbe Liszt by M. Wutzer at the upper left; immediately under this is a sentiment in
German dated 1933 and signed by Alexander Siloti: "The greatest pianist I ever heard and greatest man I ever knew." Under
this is a sentiment written and signed by Adele aus der Ohe, under which is another signed by Emma Forkel, and at the very
bottom left an AMusQS by Emma Koch. At the top of the right hand column appears an AMusQS by Jose Vianna da Motta, identified
as "Ballada." Immediately under this is an AMusQS by Georg Liebling of the 14th Hungarian Rhapsody, under which is another
AMusQS in the hand of Ernst Eduard Taubert identified as Walzer Op. 65 No. 2, under which is another AMusQS by Else Hadlam
Morley "geboren Sontag," under which appears a lengthy sentiment in German written and signed by Lina Grossarth, and last,
in the lower right appears an AMusQS of Martha Remmert of Liszt's Legend of St. Francis. Altogether there are ten autograph
sentiments in memory of Liszt penned by ten of his most prominent pupils, six of whom have written large AMusQS. AN
