150. PLISETSKAYA, Maya- a magnificent dramatic figure of the GREAT Russian ballerina now 81 years old as THE DYING SWAN, her trademark role! This white porcelain figure designed by Galina Cechulina for the Moscow Region Porcelain Factory c 1960 (her signature is impressed under the base) -it is 17" long x 10" high and was produced in a limited edition. This comes with a photo of Plisetskaya being presented with the statue by Soviet prime minister Victor Choromyrdin.

ULANOVA, Galina- a lovely delicate white porcelain figure of the late beloved Soviet period star ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre in "Swan Lake" designed by Elena Ianson-Manizer for the Lomonosov porcelain factory St. Petersburg c 1950s. This is illustrated in Revolution Life and Labor Soviet porcelains National Museum of Design Smithsonian Institution catalogue.
