ABENDROTH, Hermann- SP 4 x 6 young portrait on 6 x 9" blind stamped Hofphotograph G.Hoenisch Leipzig d/s by the
important conductor.. "To Professor Karl Lasner a reminder of the many beautiful hours we played music together in Vienna
Hermann Abendroth Koln, December 1929". A very early example from this fine conductor who languished for years in East
Germany and never got the international acclaim due him. VERY RARE
FURTWANGLER, Wilhelm- signed program for Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra concert of June 9, 1946 in Dusseldorf. It is
not dated but this program was played by the orchestra only that date in Dusseldorf and June 2 in Hamburg and ticket sales
are advertised in this program from a local agency. Furtwangler signs in blue opposite a photo of him conducting on the page
describing Beethoven's Coriolan Overture which shared the program with Beethoven's 6th and 5th Symphonies. This was the
BPO's first post WW11 Tour. VERY RARE

his St. Petersburg opera season. He opens the current Met season with La Traviata
