Khrenkov in his position was responsible for the repression of Stravinsky, Prokofieff, Shostakovich, Schnittke and Gubudailina. His own music was the epitome of the correct Soviet style and very effective as such. Interesting curiosity and very stunning to look at as an example of the Soviet era
